Math And Fashion…? Yes It’s Possible!

Ever thought whether there was anything in your mathematics lesson you could use in your outfits…well one of Spring/Summer’s key trends dos just that, and we love it…the wonderful world of geometry!

Geometry was seen on almost ever S/S 09′ catwalk…from origami folding at Calvin Klein and Chloe’s scalloped edge coats and shoes to color blocked geometric prints at (geometry master!) Emilio Pucci and Diane Von Furstenberg, black and white geometric patterns at 3.1 Philip Lim, Feminine geometric cut-outs at Fendi and a more modern – bohemian – take on the trend at Anna Sui. The high-street has also adapted this trend including Topshop who offers a great geometric printed legging.

For this trend we recommend picking one item in a bold geometric print and paring it with either black, white or caramel (3 of S/S key colors!) to not overpower. You can also pick geometric printed accessories or color blocked shoes. For a more classy look try a bold black and white geometric print but for a little more edge try a bright colored geometric pattern or just one splash of a geometric bright such as a clutch or over sized cuff. For a teenage, London chic feel pair some geometric printed leggings with brogues and tee in a neutral color – belt the shirt with a geometric shape buckled belt for detail! -.
